🍪 Cookie-Free Analytics

Sypnia does not use cookies. Instead, we use:

Session Storage

Stores the session ID. Automatically cleared when the browser tab is closed.

Local Storage

Stores the visitor ID for tracking returning users. Can be disabled.

Since Sypnia doesn't use cookies, you typically don't need a cookie consent banner for Sypnia tracking in most jurisdictions. However, consult with a legal professional for your specific case.

🛡️ Privacy Settings

Configure these options in your project settings:

IP Anonymization

anonymize_ips

Removes the last octet of IP addresses (e.g., 192.168.1.xxx). Enabled by default.

Respect Do Not Track

respect_dnt

Completely disables tracking for users with DNT enabled in their browser. Enabled by default.

Mask Text Inputs

mask_text_inputs

Replaces form input values with asterisks in error reports. Prevents accidental PII capture.

Sample Rate

sample_rate

Only track a percentage of visitors (e.g., 50%). Reduces data collection while maintaining statistical significance.

📋 What We Don't Collect

  • Personal identifiable information (unless you explicitly send it)
  • Cross-site tracking data
  • Fingerprinting data
  • Form input values (masked by default)
  • Session recordings or screenshots
